Our Ministry of the Felician Franciscan Sisters has allowed St. Ignatius Nursing & Rehab Center to provide the highest quality staff and services. We strive to uphold our long tradition of caring for the physical, spiritual, and intellectual needs of the whole person. We are dedicated to the compassionate care of low income elderly and infirmed.

• We provide our Residents with a holistic approach to healing in the mind, body and spirit of Jesus Christ by providing a full time Mission Integration Director, a Pastoral Care Department, along with a rehab department, gym and social activities to keep our Residents active and involved.

• St. Ignatius’s campus includes our 176 patient / resident rehab and long term care community, Angela Court, our 121 unit independent living apartment building for low income seniors, and the recently opened Francis House, a 60 unit community to provide personal care to those who need help in their daily needs but are not quite ready for a nursing home

•  We have daily Mass in our chapel and a convent located in our nursing community building.

Resident Life

Skilled Nursing/Long Term Care

Quality of life and quality of care go hand-in-hand at our community, where our skilled nursing and long-term care services deliver holistic care with respect for an individual’s unique needs.

Short Term Rehab

Our community is known for providing exceptional care. Our professional and dedicated staff provide occupational, physical and speech therapy on a daily full-time basis. Treatment programs are designed to meet the physical and emotional goals necessary for Residents to reach their optimum levels of functioning.  A warm welcome and creative approach in treatment is the core of the motivating spirit that is generated within the Rehab Department.

Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care provider values individual experiences and preferences by offering holistic spiritual and emotional support. The gift of compassionate listening, pastoral care visits and presence is available upon request.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is celebrated daily with the exception of Saturday in our St. Ignatius Chapel on the second floor. For Catholics who are unable to attend, Holy Communion is available upon request. The Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Anointing of the Sick are also available upon request.

Angela Court

Angela Court, a beautiful, low income elderly apartment housing community with optional support services from the Center and other agencies, was developed by the Nursing Home and is funded by low income tax credits.

Francis House

A new ministry of the Felician Franciscan Sisters, Francis House provides innovative housing and services for Philadelphia's frail elderly.
